               To--From--For
Received        Paid            Balance
A special thanks to Nancy Spurlock for covering the expense of the graveled parking lot for the event (which sadly was not necessary), and to Tim Watson for donating the pig for the Union boys supper.  And for the Claggs' generosity for allowing us to use their land, animals, and vehicle, the brand new 300 feet of hose (privately purchased by the Trents and used for the pre-event bucket brigade), was donated by the event to the Claggs.
Donation to Albert Jenkins’ House Museum in GreenBottom, WV, from the CW immersion event known as The Struggle  for Statehood, held March 19-21, 2004.

I, Linda Trent, organizer for The Struggle for Statehood, would like to make a donation from the money raised for the museum, by the event.  These items are to remain with the Jenkins home and are not to be forwarded on to Charleston.

These items include:

1.Original red and white overshot coverlet in very good condition.  This coverlet shows minimal wear and very slight fading.                 Purchased from eBay for $68 including shipping and handling.
2.Two reproduction rag rugs for use in the front and back doors, to give some sort of covering at these entrances.  Purchased            for $43 from a local shop here in Gallipolis.
3. Finally, a check made out to the WV Division of Culture and History, for $17, to be used for either acquiring additional                   stuffs or to be added to renovation.

While I realize this isn’t a huge donation, I do hope that it will help to give the Jenkins’ home a more 19th century atmosphere.

Total donation is valued at $128.00, which is the total of the profits from SFS.  The SFS ledger can be viewed at http://struggleforstatehood.homestead.com/Ledger.html

Special thanks to all those who made this event possible, and to all those who have worked so hard at preserving the memory of General Albert Jenkins, at his Green Bottom home.
